This verse reflects something central to how I understand counselling: suffering is real, but it does not have to be faced alone. I’m Sam Duran, MAMFT, RCC, a Registered Clinical Counsellor providing online individual and couples counselling throughout British Columbia.

I work with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, significant life changes, relationship and marital difficulties, infidelity, and betrayal trauma. My approach integrates evidence-based therapies, including EMDR, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), the Gottman Method, and trauma-informed practice.

Christian faith can be thoughtfully integrated into counselling through Scripture, prayer, and exploration of spiritual concerns. I believe that ultimately God is the source of healing and restoration, and that as counsellors, we are instruments in His hands as we serve others with compassion, wisdom, and professional integrity.
